Freshman Academy » Home

The Freshman Academy will open in the Fall of 2007.  The teachers, counselors, administrators, and supporting staff of the Freshman Academy strive to create a community of successful critical thinkers and life-long learners that are actively involved in evaluating, refining, and improving their own performance, expectations, and goals toward academic success. Through a high level of concentrated support toward student achievement, the Academy teaches, encourages, and motivates freshmen students to become independent learners that are better prepared to comprehensively choose a future Small Learning Community in their tenth grade year. In addition, they are counseled and supported toward developing life-long learning goals that include their completion of high school and receiving their diplomas as well as promoting their consideration toward a post-secondary college or university, technical school, or other areas of interest and opportunity.
