Welcome to North Hollywood HS Cross Country (2017)!

High School Cross Country is the same for all runners, a single three mile race that perfectly prepares athletes for track and field and soccer. Cross Country and Track and Field are the only sports where boys and girls work together. We have a great cross section of people on the team. And, of course, the best looking, smartest people in the school are on the Cross Country team! We’ve been successful; join us, have fun, find friends, find a school family. We run through parks and in neighborhoods. Run like a Husky! See the world!

All high school freshmen and sophomores are required to take physical education. A lot of our students choose to join a sport instead. Everyone makes the team in Cross Country; no one who’s really trying gets cut. What a great sport!

New students should be sure to ask their counselor to be programmed into 6th period P.E./Cross Country to get P.E. credit for Cross Country. Practice usually ends between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.

In order to compete on a team after school, you must have at least a “C” average on your last report card. To ensure your safety, a physical exam is required and is good for one year in all sports and activities at the school. Required forms can be downloaded from the school website or parents (only) can pick them up from me at summer practice.
